FIRST FRIDAY PARENTS' NIGHT OUT
Treat your kids to a fun night at Discovery Lab and yourself to a night out! While you enjoy Brady Art's District's First Friday Art Crawl or other downtown attractions, your kids will have a blast exploring the museum, playing in the tape tunnels, and creating something in The WorkShop! The next Parents' Night Out will be Friday, February 2, 2018.
TULSA ENGINEERING CHALLENGE
Discovery Lab offers workshops led by our experienced educators to help students prepare for the 2018 Tulsa Engineering Challenge. Teachers can sign up their whole class for an in-school workshop, teams can register individually for workshops at discovery lab, or parents and students can attend our drop-in workshops.
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Discovery Lab will be hosting Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at the museum, Sunday, February 18th. Girls and their mothers or other caregivers are invited to work together to solve an engineering challenge during one of our classroom sessions.
- Parent/Child Yoga
The 1st Monday of the month at 10:30am:
With music and movement, you and your child are bound to have fun during this short yoga practice together. Learn breathing practices and poses you can do as a family at home.
- Dance & Sing Along
The 2nd Monday of the month at 10:30am:
Join Executive Director, Ray Vandiver, as he sings classic children's songs. Dance with scarves, play along with instruments, and be ready to get your groove on!
- Sensory for Young Scientists
The 3rd Monday of the month at 10:30am:
Let your little scientists explore their senses! Listen to a science-themed story before experimenting on your own.
- Move It Monday!
The 4th Monday of the month at 10:30am:
Move to music, play a game, and read a book! All activities center around a theme and are designed for young children's physical, mental, emotional, and social development.
- Origami with Emily
The 3rd Thursday of the month at 4:00pm:
Learn the art of origami! Fold paper into something simple like a sail boat or try a more complicated creation like the Milennium Falcon.
- Science Demonstrations
Every Monday at 1:30 p.m. and Friday at 3:45pm:
Gather around for one of Discovery Lab's signature science demonstrations. Watch a museum educator make elephant toothpaste, explode mentos in soda, blow toilet paper off a rod, and more!

This Month: Organics
SENSORY-FRIENDLY FAMILY FUN TIME
Every second Sunday of the month, Discovery Lab hosts Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Time, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. This event is for families with children on the Autism Spectrum and/or who have sensory processing disorders. Families can enjoy the museum before the rush and play together in a supportive environment.
